Fran Clarke is a Licensed
Clinical Social Worker, Board Certified Diplomate, Fellow with The Association
for Music and Imagery, certified Mandala Assessment Facilitator, and a mentor
and qualified Life Coach. She has more
than 20 years of experience as a psychotherapist in Lafayette, LA conducting
therapy, workshops, educational seminars, and conference presentations in the
U.S., England, China. Her work in guiding and empowering women has gained
her recognition in her community.
Clarke has developed
several intensive personal growth workshops using expressive art therapies:
“Living Well With Cancer: A Program for Healing Body, Mind, and Spirit” and
“The Heroine’s Journey: A Woman’s Soul Journey Toward Authenticity”, and “A
Comprehensive Approach to the Treatment of Chronic Pain.”
A gypsy at heart, Clarke
enjoys exploring the foreign cultures, simple adventures, and creating with
stone and wood. Intimate friendships,
the awesome beauty of nature, the spirituality of music, and her precious adult
children add richness to her life.
Clarke believes that the current
upheavals in the world are calling us to find our voices, and to identify and
challenge what no longer works. “We have
a responsibility to create positive change in the world,” she says, “in
accordance with principles of honor, integrity, and compassion. Integrity means being integrated, knowing
ourselves and being ourselves, so that our actions are authentic, consistent
with our highest intentions. It is
meaningless to speak of integrity until we understand our innermost drives,
values, and motives—until we accept who we are rather than who we hope or
pretend to be. We create peace in the
world when we experience peace in ourselves.”
